"Probiotics" - from the Greek, meaning "for life." The term is medically referred to as a group of "friendly bacteria" or "microflora". Trillions of bacteria and other microbes inhabit our digestive tract making it possible to digest food, absorb nutrients, and fight off infections and disease. Without microflora our entire digestive system would collapse after eating a piece of fruit that hadn't been properly washed. Intestinal microflora make it possible to fight off toxic bacteria such as E. coli and Salmonella and pass waste matter efficiently throughout the body and ultimately regulate a healthy immune system. Without sufficient microflora available, the nutrients we consume would virtually pass through us, leaving us starving.
Syntol AMD • Synbiotic Formulation
Syntol AMD (also known as just plain Syntol) is a combination of probiotics and prebiotics more commonly referred to and classified as synbiotics. Prebiotics are nondigestible food ingredients that stimulate the growth and activity of probiotics. These prebiotics create the essential environments for probiotics as well as our own indigenous bacteria to flourish. Syntol uses Fructo-oligosaccharides or FOS as a prebiotic. FOS also referred to as neosugar and short-chain FOS is completely resistant to bodily digestion. These neosugars pass safely through the stomach and small intestine. They act to stimulate the growth of probiotics and bifidobacteria in the large intestine by fermenting and creating ideal conditions for microflora colonization.

Antibiotic Exposure
Commercially raised animal and dairy products are exposed to some 30 different antibiotics all approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use on food animals. These antibiotics are just as detrimental to good bacteria as they are to bad. The western diet containing high levels of processed flours, sugars and preservatives, chlorinated water and increased stress levels are all factors leading to improper balances of intestinal flora. Current farming and soil cultivation indiscriminately remove bacteria from the soil from which we grow our fruits and vegetables. Now more than ever we need to replenish the probiotics missing from our diets.

Typical probiotic formulas contain competing strains of bacteria. These strains can be cannibalistic or fight for the same food sources. Simply adding more strains of bacteria to a probiotic does not necessarily make it stronger and in some cases can actually have the reverse effect. Syntol contains 100% complementary microflora in capsule form. Typical probiotics are sold in tablet form. Tablets are easier and cheaper to manufacture, but are much less absorbable than powdered capsule in the body, and in some cases require refrigeration to survive. Syntol uses spore germination technology, a revolutionary new process that delivers probiotic spores rather than living bacteria. Probiotic spores are dormant life forms that protect the bacteria from acidic conditions, as well as extreme heat and cold. These spores then attach themselves to the inside of the intestinal mucosa and begin to germinate, forming the probiotic bacteria. Spore germination technology is an extremely dependable means for delivering probiotics in less than ideal conditions. Spore germinated probiotics do not require glass packaging and refrigeration.
Powerful Candida Yeast Cleanse
Some doctors argue that 60 to 80 percent of the population may be affected by an overgrowth of Candida yeast. Much of this is caused by the overuse of prescription antibiotics. If left untreated the yeast can form a fungus, developing rhizoids (plant like roots) that penetrate and attach themselves to the inside of the intestinal wall. These roots can dig deep enough to cause permeability (leakage) in the intestinal tract and allow toxic material to flow into the blood. This condition is known as Leaky Gut Syndrome (LGS). Under this shell, Candida is primarily composed of cellulose (cell walls) and N-acetyl-glucosamine (Chitin).
